That’s only their first year offer.  It’s more than double that after 1 year.  A waste of money.

You are ill informed.

Agree.  This is a ridiculous policy.  Fire the SA CEO

Why are you not applying this policy uniformly?  The policy went into effect in January 2021.  That was a year and 9 moths ago and yet I was reading and posting frequently until a few weeks ago.  Many non paying members are limited and are still reading and commenting and they have posted far more comments than I have.  From my perspective it seems you’re using this new policy to stifle free speech with SA.  Could it be that if a reader takes exception or points out poor investment advice with some of your more followed authors that they are swaying you as to who may and may not continue reading and posting? Sure seems like it. There can be no other reason for such a policy.  The correct policy is either everyone pays for Premium or nobody should pay for Premium unless they seek the extra services, ratings and advice that Premium supposedly offers.

This random dynamic to the individual, based on the device they use, the traffic source and a number of “OTHER PARAMETERS” is BS and you know it.  That’s gobble-t-ygook.

This just happened to me also.  Maybe two weeks ago.  Been reading and commenting for a few years.  About 2800 comments and now….can’t read or post except in “Politics and Markets” section.  They want you to Pay for Premium but it’s funny how other who are not paying members with even more comments than myself are still able to read and comment.  I think if you criticized the wrong authors they report you and SA then restricts you.

Agree!   It’s all about the money.  It’s always all about the money.

Maybe if SA did some pruning of their own it would be worth the premium membership.  Sadly, they continue to allow bad authors, recommending bad investment ideas to unsuspecting readers.  Look at the calls from the folks over at HIGH DIVIDEND OPPORTUNITIES.  Absolutely horrid advice causing less knowledgeable readers to lose a lot if they take their advice.  Everyone can make a bad call now and then but consistently being horrible should get you kicked off as an author.  Then there’s the Pinball Wizard… Avi Gilbert.  Has to police every commenter if they’ve disagreed with his position in the past.  No free speech allowed.  Only rave reviews will be tolerated.
