Any reason why you guys refresh my screen every 2-3 minutes when reading or replying? Very annoying and certainly intentional as no other app I’m on does constant refresh

With new version how do I follow comments like I could with prior version. The is no bell symbol and when I select new comments under author’s name I can’t find new comments just old comments that I previously read.
