Hello,

Apologies that the ad was distracting and was overly animated. We will ask our partner to remove the ad and also ensure that they abide by our guidelines of not showing overly animated ads. The example gif create must have had it's rotation set to high, which I can only assume was an implementation error on their side.

Thank you for the feedback best regards,

Hello,

Apologies that your user experience is less than optimum.

Would you be able to share any screenshots of your ad experience and provide details of your general location, operating system and browser?

We do endeavor to balance user experience with monetization of the platform to enable us to continue providing quality content for our readers, but we also realize that we can also always improve, so any additional information you can provide us with would be greatly appreciated,

Thank you,

Hello Steve,

Thank you for whitelisting us and informing us that there is an issue. I have alerted our dev team and asked them to investigate, as it sounds like a far from ideal user experience.

Best regards and thanks again,

Thank you for the follow up.

Rather than it being an issue that is centered around ads, it appears as though there is an issue with how our site handles images on articles not being palatable for Microsoft Edge.

I have passed on this information to our development team who will investigate the problem.

Trevor

Thank you for the additional info, this is perfect.

Apologies, I was addressing everyone who had/has an issue. The more data I have, the quicker my team can replicate the issue and troubleshoot.

Thanks again for flagging the issue and for the additional info.

Trevor

Hello,

Would you be able to supply us with the operating system, browser version and geo location that you are seeing this issue in? as that would be a big help in identifying where the issue could lie.

Many thanks,

Hello,

Thank you for bringing this to our attention and apologies for the cumbersome user experience, that you encountered today. We have discovered is that Outlook does not read the resize image portion of the email code correctly, where as other email providers do recognize the script. The operations department will strive to create these creative executions with manually resized images moving forward, which will prevent this from happening again.

Best regards,

Hello,

Thank you for providing this additional info. MY team will contact our partners and make sure that these are all blocked and work with our anti malware partners to determine if these were all coming through ads on our site and what partners were violating our terms.

Thanks again,

Trevor

Thank you for sending through these details.

If this is coming through one of our advertising partners, this information will enable us to block them.

Best regards and thanks again,

Hello, Thank you for reaching out and sorry that you are having this experience.

We do not allow pop ups from any of our partners and have multiple partnerships with anti malware vendors who scan all creatives and nothing has yet been flagged. It could be an infection on your machine from an alternative site to ours that is only triggered when you visit our site, that being said, these nefarious malware companies can be incredibly crafty and they do target their attacks around national holidays, when support at company's is generally offline.

Would you be able to share any additional details about what you saw, such as advertiser and age where you were on the site when you experienced this. Were you also using your desktop/laptop machine and in what country were you?

Thank you,
