It was back yesterday. Unfortunately for 1 single day though. Thanks for letting me read up. One day per week will do... :-(

With the latest change on the desktop site all text has become too small to read on a mobile device, while the mobile site still doesn't work with notifications and the app completely sucks. Please give us back a normal website as without alternative I'm not going to waste my eyes any longer :-( At least don't take away something that worked great without returning a working alternative.

I should have added Firefox on Windows 10.

Any chance you can get this repaired any time soon? The fastest non-permanent solution seems to be to make the Desktop Version link in your menu work. That way we can at least get to the content we're interested in. This way it's totally useless for many. I'll give it another week but then I'm out. It's a pity the SA platform has deteriorated so far that it has become useless for loyal long-term readers. Time to leave I guess...

What's more, the mobile version doesn't show which comments are new. And then, when choosing desktop version, that one doesn't show them anymore either, so you have to sift through 100s of comments to see which 3 are the newest based on date & time.

By the way, apparently the Following fuction on this forum isn't working either as I didn't receive a notification or anything similar.

Tnx...

Well, I'm just telling you that doesn't work, that's why I reached out. I wholeheartedly agree with you that it SHOULD work this way.

Apart from that, there is NO way this has been tested as even the most basic function, the orange arrow, doesn't work anymore.

By the way, there is a seperate thread with other comments on the new sort order.

Unfortunately many readers commenting on a previous comment don't use the Reply button. With the new (terrible) sort order you have no idea whom they're replying to.

What's more, if you click on Oldest First then there's no way you're taken to the first new comment, so now you have to manually find the first new comment, from where you can use the orange arrows again.

Thanks for trying to improve! But please restore, OR, better still as you must have a reason for the change, make it a choice in the user settings.

Once you're reading you don't want to be distracted by changing numbers, flashing ads or whatever. It's a crazy rat race already without the flashing neon trying to grab your attention. Next stop will be beeping alerts I assume. I'd rather pay $50 per year or so to just have a pleasant experience. Not everyone wants to get crazy.

There's a way around all this by just printing a PDF of the page and just read that. But I guess your goal is to create something that works for both sides.
