Walter,

First of all, thanks for being a long time member and prolific commenter on Seeking Alpha !

When this type of problem happens it is almost always because the user has two Seeking Alpha accounts on two separate email addresses and becomes confused about which one they are using.  It is actually against Seeking Alpha's terms of use to maintain two accounts for the same person.

Please log in with your alternate email address and find the correct account.

Thanks,

Jacob

Most people log in once and never log out, there is no reason to log out on your own computer or phone..   If your browser is set with some high security settings e.g. to remove cookies on close, then Seeking Alpha will not be the only site that makes you log in every time.

It is difficult to determine exactly what happened without the user-id that your friend created but the way the system works it is likely that he clicked on an email from you, at some point, and he has been logged in as you for a while.   He could be logged in as you on multiple devices.   I see your account logged in to a mac, a windows machine an iPhone and an android device in the past couple of weeks.  At this point, your friend should log out of your account on any device he has and log in on his own account.  In the future, please utilize the sharing options inside the web site or mobile app to send articles.

Perkins, Thanks for replying.  We absolutely welcome the community's involvement in the feedback forum.

Log out of the old account. Via upper right corner of site.

The system will send you email allowing you to

change the password on the new account.

Hi,  We are looking in to the issue.  What are the symptoms of the problem does it hang or does the app exit suddenly ?  If you uninstall the app and reinstall does it allow you to login ?

Thanks,

Jacob

Log in to the Seeking alpha web site with the same email address that you used to log in to the Seeking Alpha iPhone app. If you don't remember what email you used, click the More button at the bottom of the iPhone app.

It is a feature of your ad blocker... If you turn off "Remove social media plug-ins" You will see the follow buttons.
