srye21 thanks for posting that video ads are the cause of the site freezing. I've been emailing support and they have been claiming I was the only user having problems with Safari on SA! Now they need to fix this. SA works on Chrome but I see no reason that I should switch from Safari as my main browser just so SA can show me video ads I don't want to begin with!
This problem has returned for me. Anyone else? After a page is open for a while Activity Monitor can show CPU usage over 100% up to over 300%.
I've been experience this for some time as well. Just found this thread. Sometimes reloading the page works. I just tried using the Top Stocks Screener page and it froze completely. I just opened Activity Monitor and the SA website was over 200% CPU usage.
I am experiencing the same thing. I confirmed my email address 2 days ago and got a bunch of emails yesterday. Today it's off again I have not received any of the emails I should have received. This is with Apple Mail and I suspect it requires a change by Seeking Alpha. Where is the Seeking Alpha web team response? This is like pissing down a well.
Same here. Also Apple Mail. Very frustrating!
Cautiously optimistic. I just went to an article and so far it is stable.
On the other hand, the email link brought me in as not logged in (even thought I was logged in on another window) and clicking "sign in" and the link at the bottom of the page didn't work so I couldn't post. I was able to get here under my account through the Help & Support menu.
Same here, since yesterday. Message says "A problem repeatedly occurred..." with a "Reload Webpage" button. Problem keeps happening after reloading page. Same pages in Chrome are working so far. Not caused by a Mac update, using Mac OS Mojave 10.14.6.
Not fixed by deleting cookies and restarting computer. It does not seem to be happening when I am not logged in! It only started up again when I signed in.

I haven't experienced this in the last few days but I do see a different new problem with Safari. When I enter company symbols in the search box it tried to do a "spell check". I have to click "x" on the suggestion before hitting return. Anyone else seeing this. I just checked and it does not happen in chrome. This could be a new Apple default that has to be overridden by the web programmers.
