As I said I turned off the Kaspersky extension and totally disabled the Ad Block plus, but still have the Kasp. total security protection on , and continue to receive notices that ads are being blocked. What else could be causing this? I've allowed banners in Kaspersky and popups, allowed ads in Chrome.

Thanks for the idea. I was running a Kaspersky extension and when I turned it off I did not receive the whitelist notice.
