Forced to get an app to read news on SA?!? That's a huge mistake by them! What about people who only use desktops to access the site? And how the hell can you read SA on a cellphone to start with? The amount of scrolling needed must be irritating beyond belief. BTW, they broke the website for older Mozilla based browsers too - is Safari based on Mozilla? What's really irritating is that nobody from SA has replied to ANY of these posts complaining about loss of use of the website in browsers - it's like they don't care they're losing eyeballs. If I had a Pro paid account and they did this to me I'd be screaming bloody murder - actually, that may be why they're ignoring us, we don't pay their exorbitant annual fee for Pro access.

You guys are making it very difficult to impossible for desktop users - optimizing for mobile devices has destroyed multiple website functions in browsers.

The website format for PC browsers has changed for "news" articles - you can't hide the portfolio on the left side, and there's also new garbage on the right side when you first load an news page, then when you click on the bell to see notifications that space of the right side of the article text is filled up with a massively wide notification column - those two columns consume >1/2 of the screen space! And comments are all screwed up, many are hidden, requiring extra clicks to load ones you haven't read yet - and with the new page format if I click on "reply" I get taken to a Yikes! error page, and worse, the back arrow is disabled so your stuck on the error page! You guys have ruined your own website as a source of news for desktop browsers. And yeah, I've tried several Mozilla bases browsers, it happens in all of them, you cannot "reply" to an existing comment without that "Yikes" error. Thank god SA hasn't changed the format of articles written by contributors - they still use the orange "new comment" icon you can click on to autoscroll down to the next unread comment, no comments are hidden, and the wasted space of the right and left sides of the pages the news articles have don't exist either - you guys had better not change the format of articles or you'll lose more readers than I can count!

The website format for PC browsers has changed for some articles, it looks horrible, comments are all screwed up - this article is ok, but on ones with the new format if I click on "reply" or "new comment" I get this error msg, and worse, the back arrow is disabled to your stuck on the error page - WTF are they DOING?!?! They've ruined their own website! And yeah, I've tried several Mozilla bases browsers, it happens in all of them. Sound like an attempt to customize for mobile/cellphone users that went horribly wrong.

Where the heck is SA support? They need to fix this RIGHT NOW!

It's worse than that - I just posted this in an article that strangely is working normally:

What happened to the website on Thanksgiving? There's a new display for the comments column, I can't hide the portfolio on the left side, and even the site fonts have changed - makes everything unreadable!

I also can't email authors I follow to alert them that they're not getting any new page views today, get this msg "An error has occurred, please try again later" - is the entire site broken?!? Are paid users also having this issue is it just free accounts?

Hard to believe this has been going on for several hours now and SA still hasn't fixed it - no way to contact them anymore either.

BTW, when I say "notifications", I mean when you click on the little bell in the upper right side of the page to show new comments to articles you're following, it just spins, won't load new comment list.

I've tried 4 different browsers and none of them will load new notifications - it's not the browser you're using - SA website was totally down 15 mins ago, they must be having problems. hope they're resolved soon.
