Your comments

Daniel, after posting my feedback I noticed something interesting. The link within my feedback was not hashed into a tiny URL. It remains a full URL. That is quite different from what happens if the same link had been put into a comment. The link in a comment would have been turned into a tiny URL rather than left in full URL form.

The fact that links in comments and feedback posts are processed differently is potentially problematic. At the very least it reveals inconsistent handling of links across various user interfaces. Maybe a similar anomaly is affecting moderators when editing comments containing links.

Hopefully this is a clue that helps you track down the problem. Just a thought.

P.S. - The term "tiny URL" in all my posts is meant in a generic sense regarding short URLs.

Daniel, the issue with the previously linked article has apparently been resolved. Thanks.

Hi Daniel,

I just noticed one anomaly and wanted to bring it to your attention. There still seems to be a problem with seeing the "Like" user list for comments in the article linked below. It appears to be an isolated issue only with this article. Other articles are OK now.

Thanks for fixing this.

Why did this take so long to fix?  The issue was posted 4 days ago and other folks voiced their concern. Yet it was not even acknowledged by SA until today.

Does anyone on SA even read this FEEDBACK forum?  This should have been acknowledged and fixed faster.

Hey SA, are you folks aware of this issue?

Glad others are voting up this issue. Why is no action being taken to fix the problem?  SA doesn't even acknowledge the problem.

The problem seems to have fixed itself.

One of my comments asked if anyone else had the same experience. Today, after the comments became visible, there were 2 likes. So obviously a few folks saw the glitch. But from the general discussion on the thread apparently many people had no issue. The bug was not widespread.

Maybe it was a data synchronization snafu between servers. Only those getting page views from out of sync servers experienced the problem.

To be clear, the only comment I see on the Up, up, and Away..." article is from:

Wow I find the article interesting. I been sitting on January 2018 22's for awhile now. Just maybe I can make some real money now.
