Embargo articles

Today, I attempted to delete a "free" article and replace it with a newer article behind a paywall.  The site would not allow it: I knocked off the free article, but cannot add another one.  In now have only four articles that are not behind the paywall.  The software says I have five; however, checking the tab at the top of my profile page shows there's only four articles.
