Next button/link not working sometimes

Sometimes when clicking "Next" when browsing through new comments on an article, the link doesn't work. My best guess is because the next comment is from someone who is muted. I have several people muted at this point who commonly troll articles I'm interested in, so this would make sense. Also the "new comments" count is generally off when I click on those articles for new comments.
