App has become notably slower and less responsive

my app has begun operating notably slow. The notifications window often freezes and when it isn’t freezing, it is frustratingly unresponsive for about 5-10 seconds.

Please fix the lack of responsiveness of the app and eliminate its sudden penchant for freezing. 

It’s odd because it’s never been like this before. It seems to be regressing in quality.
