"You've reached your free article limit."

Logged-in to my account (been a member since 2016) and read a couple of articles, made a couple of comments.
Tried to access another article, and received a pop-up window stating that, "You've reached your free article limit."
Logged-out and back in, and immediately received the same pop-up window/message.
Logged-out again, cleared my History and cache, restarted my computer, clicked on the email to be able to review the S.A. article that I was interested in, and logged back into my account with S.A.
Immediately received the same BS pop-up message again.
Niiiiice!

Hi there,

Thanks for reaching out!

In order to continue providing our users with outstanding financial analysis and news, we changed our Paywall policy in January 2021.

You can read more about this change here: https://seekingalpha.com/article/4396836-important-update-for-seeking-alpha-users

The good news is that you can still access any article on any stock, even without a paid subscription, though there is a monthly limit to how much you can read.

We do notify the member of when they are close to reaching their limit and when they have reached their limit with the following banners:

If you want to keep reading past the limit, you can just go ahead and start your free two-week trial of Seeking Alpha Premium - no commitment required.

Premium, apart from providing you unlimited access to analysis articles also provides you with many other powerful tools that can help you with your investing. You can get an overview of the service here.

Thank you and please feel free to reach out if you need any more help!

Have not seen the $49 offer anywhere yet, will keep an eye open!

SA just started offering a $39 annual promotion for the 1st year subscription. Lowest price I've seen. So I finally paid up and subscribed. I'll cancel at end of 1st year since it's $20 a month thereafter and that's too steep a price for me.

I just noticed that SA lowered the 1st year promo price to $49.   I think it was at least $99 before.    Still after the 1st year $20 a month seems a bit steep.

I would be willing to subscribe for $49/year if it stayed at $49 for the annual renewals.

So it's been about 3 months since I have been able to read a single article, it always said I was out of articles even though I wasnt reading anything. I was finally able to read my first article today so that's cool. Not really sure what the limit is, be great if they stated the limit so i could be stingy with what I actually read.
I'm definitely not one to pay to read articles though, free articles everywhere. What I enjoy about SA articles specifically is it sends me notifications on articles that are written about tickers that I have added to my SA stock portfolio. Other than that, I can find similar articles if I search for them for free on other sites. Haven't quite found a site that does exactly what I stated I liked about SA though. If anyone knows please let me know.

It's because SA ONLY wants paying customers..."If you don't pay, you don't play."

Exactly as it should be.

At least I see I am not alone. Seeking Alpha has a big problem on it's hands here. I hope this "free article limit" garbage back fires on.

Why do they have a big problem?  The only people they will lose are the one’s who don’t want to pay.  No big loss.

No more free articles because it's now December 2nd and you used up your free article(s) for the month yesterday morning the Dec 1st probably before breakfast.  LOL.   The idea of there being any free articles is a joke.
