Every time I click on an article I get a window that says I've reached my "free article" limit. Essentially, I can't see or use anything. What's up??

Hi there,

Thanks for reaching out!

In order to continue providing our users with outstanding financial analysis and news, we changed our Paywall policy in January 2021.

You can read more about this change here: https://seekingalpha.com/article/4396836-important-update-for-seeking-alpha-users

The good news is that you can still access any article on any stock, even without a paid subscription, though there is a monthly limit to how much you can read.

This limit is dynamic to the individual member, based on the device they use, the traffic source, and a number of other parameters. It resets itself every 28 days
.

We do notify the member of when they are close to reaching their limit and when they have reached their limit with the following banners:

If you want to keep reading past the limit, you can just go ahead and start your free two-week trial of Seeking Alpha Premium - no commitment required.

Premium, apart from providing you unlimited access to analysis articles also provides you with many other powerful tools that can help you with your investing. You can get an overview of the service here.

Hope this helps! Feel free to reach out in case further assistance is required.

Same situation, but I do not subscribe to Premium or Pro (but do subscribe to Marketplace so you all are getting some $ from me). However, I click on articles that are available for free on other websites. Maybe it is due to the fact I never log out?

Not willing to pay for articles written by clueless writers.

I havent read any articles in February and I am getting a message "free article limit".....it doesnt appear to ever reset. Getting all the emails is pointless without being able to access anything.

"SA News" is gated with the paywall. I can understand the more popular authors having a paywall, but news? Business decision, I suppose.

Well taking app off my phone, hope all will follow.  Asking to pay for ordinary news and opinion writers is a poor business model.  Just a matter of time before SA changes course or will be bankrupt.

Yes seems unsubscribing is the only option to stop the spam

The problem that is clear from posters is that the limit does not reset itself every 28 days....at the start of the month before any articles are read the "reached your free article limit' comes up. If indeed the policy is as described above there is a technical problem which needs to be sorted
