Portfolio sidebar removal

How do I remove the portfolio sidebar on the right hand side of an iPad?   I liked the presentation much better when I could view my portfolio when I chose to in the left hand sidebar. The left sidebar is shrink-able and therefore much more screen real estate is available for reading articles or doing research.  The right sidebar is onscreen always.
