screen lockup and lost data after a few minutes - forcing close and reopen of article

My screen loses the data of the articles after about 4", then I have to click the mous to initiate a popup msg of "IE is searching for a solution" and then it closes and reopens the article.  Are your running scripts locking up my screen?
