Why does submitting an comment cause the website to scroll past your new comment??

1.  Submit a comment for an article

2.  The website then auto-scrolls just PAST your comment.  WHY?

3.  Now the user needs to scroll back up to see their comment, check on text, spacing, formatting, etc.

Why are you auto-scrolling past the comment that a user just submitted?  Just leave the page as-is, with the new comment centered.
