Articles only show with Internet connection

I live near London UK and catch the tube to work daily. Sadly this means I start reading an article above ground with internet connection but then when I go underground I of course lose internet.

I have noticed that as soon as my iPad drops the connection the article displays a warning saying 'No Internet' or to similar effect and the entire article then cannot be read. Even if it was fully loaded on screen before hand.

It didn't used to do this. It used to cache the article in memory rather than needing constant internet.

I'm using the Version 3.10.15 I believe (the latest as of this posting)
