The site on safari freezes up shortly after opening an article.

For the last few days, every time I attempt to open an article link, the browser freezes up shortly after navigating to the page.

Duplicates 1
Can not read SA News items using Safari on my Mac

For the past few days I have been unable to access ANY SA News item.  I receive an onscreen error msg, "Yikes.  Something Went Wrong."  I am able to access regular articles however on every attempt.  I am running Catalina 10.15.7 and using Safari 14.0.1.  I'm able to access SA News items on Firefox (83.0) and Chrome 87.0.4280.88 - just not on my preferred browser Safari.  Hope you can fix this issue.  Thanks!

Do I stop using my Macbook Air and Safari, or Seeking Alpha?  Well, I'm not going to stop using my mac. (And not using Chrome because it eats my battery).  I hate to say goodbye to SA, but don't really have a choice.

never had the issue after many faithful years with SA. Now Safari on MacBook (not phone it seems) constantly reloads and uses too much energy. I do not understand why, heavier data sites are no issue. You are doing something in the background I am worried about....please fix!

It's still freezing on Safari at times.  It seems to be mostly later in the day. Do you realize that 18% of all computer users, use Safari?  That's a lot of potential users and views that you are missing.  In my business, if I had a way to increase business 18%, it would be my highest priority.

I haven't experienced this in the last few days but I do see a different new problem with Safari. When I enter company symbols in the search box it tried to do a "spell check". I have to click "x" on the suggestion before hitting return. Anyone else seeing this. I just checked and it does not happen in chrome. This could be a new Apple default that has to be overridden by the web programmers.

The site freezes when I try to read the Latest news and articles on my portfolio.  Completely freezes on Safari and slows, almost freezes and takes a while to display next page of headlines on Chrome.

Safari 14.0.3 consistently freezes the browser window as you scroll down through an article at the point where you reach the "today's financial videos" in the right hand column. Does not occur in other browsers, eg Firefox. Extremely annoying.

This problem has returned for me. Anyone else? After a page is open for a while Activity Monitor can show CPU usage over 100% up to over 300%.

Yes, this is still going on.  Nothing has been fixed.  Very disappointing.

Forced to get an app to read news on SA?!? That's a huge mistake by them! What about people who only use desktops to access the site? And how the hell can you read SA on a cellphone to start with? The amount of scrolling needed must be irritating beyond belief. BTW, they broke the website for older Mozilla based browsers too - is Safari based on Mozilla? What's really irritating is that nobody from SA has replied to ANY of these posts complaining about loss of use of the website in browsers - it's like they don't care they're losing eyeballs. If I had a Pro paid account and they did this to me I'd be screaming bloody murder - actually, that may be why they're ignoring us, we don't pay their exorbitant annual fee for Pro access.

See my comment below.

On several separate occasions I indicated on this site that my emails have been cancelled for no reason and that when I click on the link to restore them that has proved ineffective. I also indicated that I read SA articles daily, comment frequently on them, have over 700 followers and invest in reliance on some of the points made in some of the articles after verification. I have yet to receive your response to these notices.
