This is extremely disappointing. I am really upset about this, seems like if they were planning to do this they would have sent an email to all subscribers telling them what was going on; They are trying to force us into paying, how shameful. I have been using seeking alpha and reading their free articles for a very long time, maybe 20 years. Looks like this is it, i will go elsewhere, anyone have any ideas???? Its not a great time in our country to force people into paying for these articles…..
I'm out as well. Most of the articles have been previously sent to subscribers of the authors. As such they serve to entice the readers to subscribe to their services and are therefore free advertising. Now SA wants to charge the readers for the privilege of receiving these advertisements. They have it backward. They should charge the authors of the articles for advertising their services.

I don't think it's disappointing. I am very happy that SA decided to move to a paying model. They don't owe anyone content for free.
I purchased a subscription in April 2022 but recently am being blocked from reading articles by contributors that I normally have access to. This is like purchasing something only to have the merchant tell you that you must return the product with no refund. I think I am entitled to a refund of half of the subscription price. Lots of similar comments here.

If you paid for a premium subscription and are now unable to access the premium content, then you are correct. However if you purchased a marketplace subscription by an author and are confusing it with the premium subscription for SA , then you are mistaken and not entitled to any refund.
Free article limit is like 1 a month? This is stupid. Just call it a paid service already. Its the lack of transparency here that feels as slimy as a (enter your own political silmeball) in an election year.
I don't think it's stupid at all. What I think is stupid is people that have the audacity to complain about how many free articles SA chooses. It is more than okay for them to charge. More than.
It just became too distressing....I just unsubscribed from seeking alpha
