Secure Connection issues
For the past 24 hours + I have been unable to connect to an article via a notification email. I am able to go to seekingalpha.com and access the same article via search on the main site.

Thank you for the suggestion. The advanced "button" shows the following.
email.seekingalpha.com uses an invalid security certificate.
The certificate is only valid for *.wdscylla.de.
Error code: SSL_ERROR_BAD_CERT_DOMAIN
I have read the link you sent and others referenced therein, none seem to apply to my situation (I do not have any of the listed program installed on my computer). I will research the *.wdscylla.de.reference above and will contact Mozilla as a follow-up.
This seems to be a problem with security settings on your local computer. Check out this article for some ideas.
I used this link
Got this error
"Your connection is not secure
The owner of email.seekingalpha.com has configured their website improperly. To protect your information from being stolen, Firefox has not connected to this website.
This site uses HTTP Strict Transport Security (HSTS) to specify that Firefox may only connect to it securely. As a result, it is not possible to add an exception for this certificate."
Thanks for the info. It does seem like it's pretty localized to you. Still looking into it.
No, also on my Windows 7 Pro laptop using either Firefox or Opera browsers although I get different failure response on Opera but note "...connection was reset." (ie same as Secure Connection msg):
"
The connection was reset.
Check any cables and reboot any routers, modems, or other network devices you may be using.
If it is already listed as a program allowed to access the network, try removing it from the list and adding it again.
Check your proxy settings or contact your network administrator to make sure the proxy server is working. If you don't believe you should be using a proxy server: Go to the Main menu > Settings > Change proxy settings… > LAN Settings and deselect "Use a proxy server for your LAN".
Yes can access directly from your link.
FWIW I also get the secure connection issues from a Blackberry Q10 ad an Android devices.
Yes, I saw. Just wanted to see if there was a difference accessing from outside the site. What about this one?

Yes. I noted this in my first post where I said I can go to the main site page and access articles from there without problem.

email.seekingalpha.com uses an invalid security certificate.
The certificate is only valid for *.wdscylla.de.

I checked the domain of the certificate and it is email.seekingalpha.com.
This wdscylla.de is not found anywhere in the certificate.
If your browser is getting back a different certificate, that means there is some sort of hardware or software between your browser and our server which is injecting its own certificate.
There are a few possibilities off the top of my head:
1) Proxy software
2) Security software
3) Porn filters
4) Developer tools (if you were a developer)
5) Man in the middle attacks (malicious software on your computer)
Hope this helps.
