Notification drop-down/can't close unneeded notifications

Just started today. Can't X-out the notifications that I don't want to read. Looks like they don't fit within the space allotted and the X is simply missing from the right-hand side of the pane. Browser: Firefox

Thanks, Daniel. Looks like it's back to normal now. Do forum notifications not pop-up somewhere either? I had to check the thread manually and saw that you've replied.
