this was at least 2 wks ago about bringing notifications back...realistically WHEN???

Yup, that's the problem...Android app...in a nutshell...

I sure hope SA even reads these postings...I have yet to get a response from the SA tech staff

push notifications on my phone are useless.

Bring back in app notifications where I can delete the ones I have read and see new comments to ones I have not deleted.

can you switch back to the old version, if so how?

I'm not having that problem.  My issue is NOTIFICATIONS on my android phone.  When I comment on some article I cannot locate any responses to my comment...

I don't find it to be slower...my only concern are the comments to my comments

how do you even 'see' notifications on your Android? There is no NOTIFICATIONS TAB...
