They are coming through properly at my end. It started off slowly, but all good. @huffster22 you may need to click that button in the web interface to re-enable mail notifications.
I got a message again this morning in the user interface to say the message have stopped and to re-able it via the button click. Has anyone else got this message?
Why not try restoring afresh your alerts and authors notifications..I did !
Thanks George, interestingly enough I seem to be still getting all my e-mails today, so I think it's all good.

So for me the situation seems to be improving as the volume of e-mails has improved. I am not entirely sure I am getting all of them, but much better than before.
