Hi Stefan, We have a project now in progress to improve StockTalks, which type of notifications would be most useful for you?  (Email, mobile, Site, Chrome)  Would appreciate any feedback from StockTalkers as well.

We don't have any notification setup on the server for your account.  Please remove and reinstall the app and accept the notification prompts, and it will be fixed.

This app is no longer being supported or updated by Seeking Alpha.  Please install the portfolio app instead,

You can delete them via the edit button which looks like a pencil, but if it is really cumbersome you should just log in via the web site.  The UI of the app was not optimized to make it easy to delete large numbers of portfolios :)

There are certain email domains that like to block legitimate bulk emails and do a very poor job of differentiating spam.   Most of the cable company emails and internet provider emails fall into this category, for example comcast, bellsouth.net etc and their users are the ones who report most of the problems with not being able to receive emails.   The email providers who do a good job are, for example, google and yahoo.  In my experience,  when a google email user reports that they do not receive our emails, they are usually filtering it out without realizing it (when they do a search "from:seekingalpha.com" they manage to find it).   Aol emails are a mixed bag, for example Aol reported to us that user Glenial above reported one of our emails as spam.  Therefore, we block our system from sending emails to the user.   Did Glenial actually click "report spam" ?  Probably not, or maybe by mistake.   I remember one user some years ago clicked "Report spam" since he thought it was a convenient way to save emails for later reading.   Instead, we put a block on his account.     That is why when a user logs into the site, and we detect that we have blocked them sending emails, we show a message allowing the user to clear the block.

Hope this helps anyone experiencing email problems.

Please share your experiences.

Jacob

Johnr1, were you using your mobile device or your desktop when this happened ?  Does it happen with one email or with all emails from Seeking Alpha ?  Please send a screenshot of the email you tried to click.
